Columbia 14195-D, 78 RPM. Bessie Smith performing Preachin' the Blues / Back Water Blues. Record is VG+ / VG.  The record visually grades at VG but plays at a strong VG+ over light surface noise. The labels are good, with minor scuffs. 1927 issue;  recorded in New York, February 17, 1927. On both sides Bessie is accompanied by the superb jazz pianist and composer James P. Johnson. Terrific and Scarce Classic Female Pre War Blues 78 in Nice Condition.
