- Scarce early Columbia sides by Duke Ellington And His Washingtonians, featuring; jazz greats, Bubber Miley, Louis Metcalf, Joe Nanton, Otto Hardwick, etc. Condition: V/V+; “East St. Louis…” plays well, loud and strong, over light to moderate surface noise result of numerous spots of staining, also a few non-passing needle drops at end of side, two needle scratches across the grooves, minimal affect on playing. “Hop Head” plays fine, loud and strong over light to very light surface noses, Two needle scratches across all grooves, minimal if any affect on playing. Both sides: rubbing/scuffing and moderate label damage.
