Description
Unusual split coupling of Paul Howard’s Quality Serenaders recorded in Culver City, CA, and one of the many sides cut in Kansas City by Bennie Moten’s band in October 1930, this one featuring a vocal by Jimmie Rushing. Surface rubs and a few light scratches (and someone carved “XXX” just above the label on the Moten side), but other than that looks pretty clean. The Moten side is a bit noisy and has some mild to moderate peak distortion, still a fine copy.
