- Description
- Bit of a mystery item: two popular orchestra style tangos played by The South Americans on what appears to be a MacGregor & Sollie recording & pressing. I couldn’t find anything on this group but based on the label I’m guessing they might have been playing in Yosemite Valley perhaps at the Awahanee Hotel and sold these discs at their performances. Label is inscribed, dated and signed but I can’t make out the signature. Inscribed in the run-outs are MS 1221 & MS 1226. Condition: Plays fine, loud and strong, generally quiet surface. Fairly clean copy aside from a bit of light scuffing and light scratch or two.
