Original dust jacket has some bending and worn areas appear at most edges. Includes protective clear plastic outer sleeve (see images). Very light short ink mark on corner of page 57, small black blemish on page 120. Chapter Titles include: Spoil The Gravy Train, Me And Jelly Roll, Mamie's Break, We Never Let Business Interfere with Our Pleasure, and many more. Includes 30 pages of his original sheet music, and about 36 pages of black and white images (many have multiple shots per page), period adverstisements, and vintage record label images. Musical artists pictured include Blanche Calloway, Johhny Dunn, Juanita Hall, Bessie Smith, Bert Williams, George Walker, Lucille Hegamin, Eddie South, Fats Waller, James P. Johnson, Buster Bailey, King Oliver band, Edith Wilson, many classic vaudeville teams, and more. Perry Bradford has extensive credentials as a songwriter and artist, just do a web search to see his very numerous compositions, credits, and recording sessions. This is a great autobiography written in a very colloquial style, a one of a kind gem. Book is fully indexed as well. This first edition often sells on eBay for $50 and up. There's even one on Amazon for over $500!
