Description

Rufus Quillian on piano and Ben Quillian on steel guitar as the Blue Harmony Boys, New York Gennett recordings from October 1929 but only issued on Paramount. Both sides start with a spoken mock-sermon intro, followed by vocal duet including a hot instrumental chorus. Very clean copy, virtually no wear but both sides play with some swish in the second half on the right channel only, left channel plays clean. This is likely true of all copies of the record. There are some light heat marks that don't affect play, and two under-label cracks that don't extend beyond the labels. Has only appeared once on eBay. MP3 available on request. This record is from the personal collection of radio personality and music historian Barret “Dr. Demento” Hansen, who is starting to downsize portions of his collection.
