Very scarce and one of the best Mississippi delta blues records from the 1920s, recorded in Memphis, August 1928. Charlie McCoy on mandolin on A side, and possibly second guitar on B side. With 3.5-mil stylus, "Brown Mamma" plays with minor distortion on some of the vocal peaks, no peak distortion on the flip side but there are several small 2-4g pits on that side which cause minor pops, and a few scratches that add to the moderate crackle due to grain.
