Description
What a shame that more bands didn't record in the tobacco warehouse used for the August 1927 Victor sessions in Savannah, GA. Few other US 1920s recordings can match this majestic room tone, and this black band with very inventive arrangements based in Jacksonville, FL is the star of the sessions (not counting Blue Steele's hit "Girl of My Dreams."). Super copy except for "1928" written in white ink on both labels, presumably a previous owner's notation of the release year. Plays great with 3.5-mil stylus.
