Description
From Cannon's Jug Stompers' first session, Memphis, January 1928. Both sides have scuffing and light scratches, and have moderate peak distortion on loud notes, more on "Big Railroad." There is a 2" internal hair crack which runs through a sharp warp that requires a little extra weight to track. Part of the warp is caused by the record being in contact with a small object when hot, causing a small dent on one side and a bump on the other side. This could be flattened out, but at the risk of possibly opening up the crack so it's been left as-is. The dent is inaudible when played in mono. MP3 available on request. This record is from the personal collection of radio personality and music historian Barret “Dr. Demento” Hansen, who is starting to downsize portions of his collection.
