- Victor 25524, 78 RPM. The Original Dixieland Five performing Tiger Rag / Skeleton Jangle Record is in Nice V+ condition, plays nicely. Labels are good. 1937 issue; recorded in New York, September 25 and November 10, 1936. Personnel: Nick LaRocca (cnt, dir) Eddie Edwards (tb) Larry Shields (cl) J. Russell Robinson (p) Tony Sbarbaro (d) You can see from the personnel that these are the members of the Original Dixieland Jazz Band (ODJB) reunited 20 years after their first recording in 1917. That record is generally considered to be the first real jazz recording. Terrific and Scarce Dixieland Jazz 78 in Nice V+ Condition.
