Description
Great Chicago R&B from spring 1950 leaning towards early rock & roll, this is one of the very last releases on Aristocrat issued just a few weeks before the Chess brothers morphed it into the label they named after themselves. Only offered once before on eBay, this is not one of the Aristocrat releases that got reissued on Chess. Lots of small scratches especially on "When Times Get Better" which cause ticks, and a cluster scratch near the end of "Blues Rockers' Bop." Not much distortion on the V+ side, just increased noise. MP3 available on request. This record is from the personal collection of radio personality and music historian Barret “Dr. Demento” Hansen, who is starting to downsize portions of his collection.
