- Description
- "Rag Baby" is one of the best 1920s Georgia blues performances, and there are probably fewer than 15 copies in existence. This copy isn't very pretty, as it's got a 3" crack repaired over 40 years ago by Jim Cooprider, some water damage that clouds the surface in spots on both sides, several small but audible scratches, and a long stressed groove near the beginning of each side. In spite of all that, the record has relatively little wear and plays surprisingly well with a 3.3-mil stylus, apart from some moderate pops due to the scratches and crack and some swish from the water damage. Printing on both labels is somewhat faded. Overall a very nice if compromised copy! MP3 available on request.
